This year's Environmental Index developed by Yale and Columbia University researchers ranked Costa Rica 3rd, just behind Iceland and Switzerland and together with Sweden on the top 4th.

According to The New York Times, Costa Rica is one of the top destinations for travelers on 2010.

Thanks to an eco-friendly development Costa Rica has become a leader on the environment race.While the country has only about 0.1% of the world's landmass, it contains 5% of the world's biodiversity.
